Hi All
We have built a concrete pool that is half in the ground and half out of the ground so that it is level with our balcony.
The decking guys started work today on our deck which is the same height as our pool. Neighbour rang me jumping up and down. We had asked them for permission to build a nice rendered brick wall fence higher then our exisiting fence so both of us could have privacy which they said no to. We asked if we could put up a privacy screen along the top of the fence. Nope.
So we got approval from the council to build the deck which is a metre off the fence according to their regs, and they also stipulated a privacy screen to sit on top of the deck, once again a metre off the fence.
Neighbour rang me jumping up and down saying they were going to sue us because they told us we couldnt put up a privacy screen. Well we didnt touch the fence in any way so i figure that takes out the fencing act. What can they sue us for. We have council approval. And what is built in our own yard! I wouldnt have thought they would have a leg to stand on. She sues everyone so i am a little concerned.
What do you guys think.
