Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Jan 07, 2011 1:54 pm theyve put my colourbond roof on my garage section of the house.now i dont know if i,m being picky but the colourbond is monument and theyve used zinc coloured screws which stick out like a sore thumb.i know they do colour match screws so do i get them to change all the screws.the roof can be seen through a big window we have in the stairwell so will always be able to see them. Re: colourbond roof screw colour 2Jan 07, 2011 3:27 pm I'd certainly query why they didn't use them. You can buy touch up paint in colourbond colours, but I remember seeing that it shouldn't be used on a colourbond roof as it can damage the finish. Re: colourbond roof screw colour 3Jan 07, 2011 6:34 pm Make sure they change the screws and don't just spray the heads. The paint and colorbond fade at different rates, so if they paint the screws it will look ok to start with but after a while the painted parts look very obvious. The screws are available in all the colours so there is no excuse for not using them.
