Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Nov 02, 2019 10:31 am Hi, We've requested with our builder a separate instantaneous water heating to the first floor. We are building 2 storey home. I have received the final floor plan and they put it to the first floor where it is really visible. Is this meant to be here or it can be installed next to the water heating to the ground floor? My fault that I never specified the location but I wasn't expecting that they will locate it to the first floor. The longer the run the more water you waste waiting for the hot to get there. However any ongoing maintenance will be difficult up on that 1st floor. In fact our neighbour had to move his HWS from a similar position because the gas company said it didn't meet safe working regulations. He and his plumber disputed it with ATCO however they still had to move it. I have asked my builder if possible for them to relocate somewhere appropriate in the ground floor. I was more concerned on visual look 😁 but didn't realise the difficulty of ongoing maintenance if it's installed up on the first floor. Our standard double-glazed window is tested to achieve, Rw 34, and can be glazed to suit Rw 39. The price is good too... 3 11611 Does anyone have a suggestion for a good hydronic in slab heating speacialist who may be able to help me with an existing system and wether or not it may need a seperator… 0 5357 thanks Chippy, i hope they have applied sealer but i am doubt to be honest, so i am gonna do this job after handover. 8 16764 |
