Generally people prefer unpainted if against brick due to maintenance. Re: Did you paint your lintels? 8Jan 05, 2011 1:56 pm Solverpaint recommended degreasing with solprep degreaser then coated with Galv-link one coat and then 2 coats of top coat if it is oil-based or water-based paint different system if you topcoat is different to this.
