I have one of those electrolux ones, it has a built in dustbuster (be good for the highchair). It's good just for cleaning up after meals and doing little bits and pieces when I don't want to get the whole hose out for the ducted vacuum. wouldn't recommend as your main vacuum cleaner though. I think I played around with almost every hand held on the market when I was looking and the Dyson was easily the best. We have a Dyson upright, and I think we'll be sticking with Dyson for anything of this nature from now on. I just love their stuff. I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. I also have the Dyson upright ball vacuum and its a bit of a pain to get around the back of the toilet with so I use the handheld for all those little jobs aswell. Re: Can you recommend a handheld vacumme? 7Jan 03, 2011 11:19 pm We've got a big dyson for the house, and a handheld dyson - it's very good in general. Only thing is, it's a little bulky with the big barrel, but the nozzle is quite long to make up for it. You only get about 5-6 minutes continuous use out of it before you need to recharge. Never had a handheld before so I thought the battery life was rubbish, but apparently all handhelds don't get much usage time. Cleaning it (both small and large dysons) are great, just open it up in your big rubbish bin, no stupid bags to replace or clean out. Or do you only put it on charge once the batt dies? Re: Can you recommend a handheld vacumme? 12Jan 05, 2011 8:26 pm We went looking at them today and we are tossing up between the dyson DC30 and the DC31, we are both leaning towards the DC31. Build Thread Re: Can you recommend a handheld vacumme? 15Mar 08, 2017 1:38 pm People buy Dyson because it works. You don't like it because your a vacuum seller who doesn't sell them. I have had my dyson for years with NO issue what so ever. Every brand of any product will have faults and issues, so what! Stop promoting your self! Re: Can you recommend a handheld vacumme? 16Mar 09, 2017 10:44 am Although often dearer Dyson seems the best - get one of those adaptable types. Re: Can you recommend a handheld vacumme? 17Mar 10, 2017 1:30 am I avoided dyson for quite a few years cos I thought they were overpriced hype. After chewing through several hand helds from el cheapo kmart ones to expensive bissel ones and other brand name handhelds, guess who now owns a dyson handheld and loves it. Me. The only downside is the price, the battery life is not the best (tho I hear the new crazy expensive one has 40min of battery life) but apart from that it's honestly the best vaccum I've ever used (I worked as a cleaner for several years so have used a lot). Easy to use, easy to clean and empty, no filters, no loss of suction. They just work. Re: Can you recommend a handheld vacumme? 20Mar 24, 2017 5:37 pm We have a Dyson V6. Easy to pull apart and clean (as in more than the filters etc.) Batteries can be upgraded with some basic tools to get around 50mins charge. A battery indicator LCD is great too. Cost $5 on eBay. Easy to wire in. Shows you how much charge exists as you use it. Our 15 plus years old Dyson upright is working like new. I recently stripped it down (easy enough) and replaced some parts. Cleaned the motors, screwed it all back together and works like new. 2 10933 Hey everyone Not for me or anyone I know, just generally interested.
