That's still below their BIN price and the saving covers postage costs. No bag, it has an easily removed cassette that you just empty into the bin. When mine goes back to recharge I remove the cassette, empty and reinsert it so it's ready to go the next time. In saying that, it's not full to capacity but like any vacuum cleaner it works better when the bag/cassette/etc is not choked with fluff/dust/etc and as it's so easy to empty it's not really a chore. The only consumables you'll need will be 2 x D size batteries if you want to use the virtual wall and 2 x AAA for the remote control. I didn't have any batteries on hand and live too far from stores to warrant a special trip, so I just roll a towel or close a door to stop it going somewhere it's not wanted and use the touch screen on the cleaner to set it going. As soon as you receive the robot put it on the charger so you can try it out asap. There is a little reservoir on top of the charger to place a few drops of essential oils which is heated during the charging cycle and makes the house smell lovely. There are two microfibre pads in the box along with a spare filter, a spare rotating brush and a brush/comb to clean the brushes. Do I have many tiles??? LOL.........like you, I only have carpet in the bedrooms and one lounge room, with vinyl planks in the study, the remainder is porcelain tiles in an alabaster colour (living and bathrooms). My block is black sand and no matter how hard you try it still gets inside, although no door opens directly onto carpet, for obvious reasons. This is why I wanted a robot cleaner so I'm not having to vacuum floors every second day, so many better things to do with your time but the robot goes from tiles to carpet to plush floor rug to vinyl planks all without hesitation. If you search YouTube for 'robot vacuum cleaner' there are several to choose from that will give you an idea of what to expect. Don't forget to report back once you've tried it? Who said cleaning floors wasn't fun!!! If so what were the "special circumstances" under which it was granted?
