Re: Looking for Builders/Companies forhome reno's - Melbourn 3Dec 16, 2010 2:29 pm funny you say that, i have contacted them twice and what i found quite strange is that they bascially gave me a ball park figure over the phone without seeing the property and or coming up with any creative ideas for what we wanted to do or how we could look at other cost effective ways to build an outside carport/entertainment space. It was like i was almost begging them to come out for an appointment just to see the place!! Can i ask who you delt with? Coz i may just have gotten someone with limited knowledge or who really could not be bothered taking the time to see me.. Having said that, i do understand its almost xmas but it would be much easier to just say, i'm not actually able to come out before christmas so if your happy to wait til early jan we can go through it in more details then.. We are a little behind schedule but a lot of that is because of the rain. We had all our plans already drawn up so not sure how you go about this. His pricing was right where we thought it would be for this kind of renovation.
