Its about 50/50 the pipe from the point of entry of your house and throughout the house will most likely be plastic. You may have a slight build up of "copper corrosion" due to the line not being used a lot for an extended period of time. This can also cause the water to turn blue/green. To get rid of it you can run your taps for a while and test the water every now and then to see how it tastes. **IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER** PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!! Catch the water in a bucket/s and re use it on your garden. You could even pour it into you water tank and use it later. Depending on where you are, it may just be bad water as well.
