When heavy rain come, I will be a bit nerous cos water always drip down from the fascia. These two pics are after the rain. http://i402.photobucket.com/albums/pp108/nottch/DSCN5932.jpg http://i402.photobucket.com/albums/pp108/nottch/DSCN5930.jpg It doesn't affect the cement sheet of the eases but I think it should not happen. I guess one of the reasons is the blockage of gutter by leaves. I did not find that issue in my neighbouring house. My husband said they have more downpipes than us. ( They have 4 along the longest side of the house, while we have 2). Our downpipes are just the standard one, and we don't have leaf guards installed. Is that the reason for the dripping? Re: Water dripping down the fascia 3Dec 02, 2010 8:47 pm The gutters you have looks like the ones in my new house. They have slots that aren't very high above the bottom of the gutter. I get the same dripping during heavy rain. In my case, having a wet or charged stormwater system exacerbate the problem. And if it is overflow out of the slots, I would be happy that the slots are working and that the rain is not flowing over the inner edge and flooding the roof space! Best to check the gutters for leaves anyhow Some people don't have time to do the job right the first time, but seem to have plenty of time to fix their mistakes. I spend my working days ripping all types of gutter guard off. A bit of chicken wire in the neck of the down pipe does the trick. I can see water on the underside of the guttering but not on the fascia. Re: Water dripping down the fascia 6Dec 09, 2010 3:19 pm The underside of our gutters look like that after any decent rainfall. Like Richo said it's just the rain that's hit the side of the gutter gathering into droplets due to gravity. I've only once seen water coming out through the slits in our gutter . That was during quite heavy rain. I checked the gutters after that and yes! they were full of twigs, leaves and sludge. The slits are your friend, but I too suggest clearing your gutters.
