Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Nov 30, 2010 9:36 am I've been tasked with replacing a rusty rectangular downpipe for an elderly relative. My initial searching brings up plenty of info that should help me figure out how to do it. But there's not as much info on where I can buy the downpipe, straps, etc. Any suggestions on where to buy the materials I need? Being a DIY newbie, I'm pretty much only familiar with the major hardware chains (Bunnings, Mitre 10) and would like to know where else I should look in case they don't have the right parts. Re: Where to buy gutter downpipe 2Nov 30, 2010 1:11 pm Do a google search on Colourbond if the roof is c/b then you can get matching colours, also if the eaves and fascia are a particular colour you can get similar colours too. I also bought some paint and asked for it to be tinted to the colour of the existing downpipes. It blended in very well. I took a sample of the downpipe to bunnings for them to match and they immediately knew that it was coloured as colorbond manor red. I went to Bunnings and while they have all the parts (1800/2400mm downpipe lengths, adjustable offsets, nozzles, astragals) they're in plain zinc only and they can't order in Colorbond.
