Here's another one for you brainstormers, which I find more repulsive than earwigs & millipedes put together..
I took the filter thingo off the rangehood the other night, cos mum wanted to see the motor/fan.. I found about 30 dead blowflies sitting in there. yuk!!
THe rangehood and both toilet fans are all externally flued. This explains how the blowies are getting inside, which is through the exhaust vent in the toilets, but they're obvioulsy not small enough to get out through the rangehood filter thingies.
Dad came up with the bright idea of getting on the roof and covering the vent with some sort of netting or maybe even a stocking. Have any of you with externally flued rangehoods had this problem? Have you looked to see what is lurking on your filter pads? EWWW!
Give me an earwig in my shoe any day over a bloody blowie dying a slow death in my rangehood! yukyukyuk!
