Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Nov 10, 2010 10:41 am I want to buy a large garden shed (6 x 3 meters) for storage of odd bits and pieces to relive the clutter at home. I have obtained few quotes from the local dealers and I was about ot order a shed, in the meanwhile I came across some online shops and eBay sellers offering the same sheds (same makes, material, Australian made and size) like local dealers for 60% to 80% price of the dealers quotes. The sheds are even delivered free of cost to a local depot and I need to collect it from there or for a fee around $100 delivery can be made to my home. The dealers also want about $100 delivery fee! No problems there. Before I make my final decision, I would like to know if someone has bought sheds from eBay or other online sources? What is your experience like in quality of the sheds, or any problems with the delivery etc. Good to know Dos and Don'ts, Tricks and Traps. Thanks in advance K8Canb Re: Buying Garden Sheds from eBay and other oline sources 2Nov 10, 2010 10:48 pm I am sure someone must have bought a garden or workshop shed from eBay or other online supplier. A number of people have seen my message but unfortunately no one has replied. As I said I am about to order my shed, please someone reply with their experience. Thanks in advance. They do take a little time to put together from a flat pack. Cheers PP Re: Buying Garden Sheds from eBay and other oline sources 4Nov 11, 2010 6:52 pm Thanks for your reply, as I live in Canberra here most things are very expensive, public servants pay without a question. I have decided to get the shed from online store and hire someone to put it together. Looking from the video it appears easy. I know much smaller than what you guys are after... but that's because we dont want to have to bother with a permit, and it needs to fit in behind our chook pen I've looked at a few online places, zinc is by far the cheapest... Bunnings prices aren't too far off. Have you tried there?
