Hi, this is my first posted question
We have engaged a draftsman to draw up plans for a large extension to the front of our 1950's weatherboard. The floor layout/plans have been finalised, just needing all the rest done for council and builder.
The draftsman has just mentioned that we need to have the block surveyed. This previously hadn't been mentioned before so we were a little taken aback. I thought they would only need the setback of our block and the neighbouring houses.
He gave us a list of information he requires to do the elevation drawings etc and got a quote from a 'mate', this is what we got.
-Outline of existing house, with spot levels at each corner,
-Floor level of the existing house
-Spot level on the nature strip.
-Re-establishment survey
-Setback of existing house
-Setback from the street of existing neighbors on both sides showing part of the building outlines.
All this for $1800 +GST
Does this seem right?
Any advice would be helpful
Thanks
