We bought the land in January so still getting things organised with MJH our builder. But I am glad things are travelling smoothly and fast. Our preliminary plans will be ready by 15th April according to our client liaison officer. BTW we are on viking street. Mine was a cracking 1mbps, raised a ticket with Exetel and speedtest was reporting 45mbps this arvo. 2 My speed is only 1MBPS as well! its like its capped. it still is. i raised a ticket on wednesday, sent them numerous screen shots and transfer screen shots on the weekend as they requested. hopefully will be fixed soon. im on the 100/40 plan. the upload is fine. it is the download which is the issue. Re: [NSW] Gregory Hills - Roll Call! 691Mar 26, 2013 9:04 am I'm with internode, I think it's opticomm. They had a planned infrastructure upgrade in Gregory Hills on the 5th, and from that day my connection dropped from about 80/39 to 20/1 and then 11/1 a week later. Data transfers ok, but it's like it's capped. It just hits that speed and stays there. Opticomm came back and said it was fixed, but no change. Then rejected some of my speed tests as they showed 0ms ping and claimed pc issues. Re: [NSW] Gregory Hills - Roll Call! 692Mar 26, 2013 9:42 am Mine looks to be sorted out now, I am the first house on the new Oran Park infrastructure so expected issues. I thought I was capped at first but the upload speed being high knew I wasn't. I reported my issue at 2pm Saturday, had half speed on Sunday and this morning getting as fast as I would expect with overhead etc It is VERY cool being able to download something and it is just there or a youtube vid ready to jump anywhere Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: [NSW] Gregory Hills - Roll Call! 694Mar 27, 2013 5:13 pm That's great! Any idea how long it will take through Council? I know it's hard to say but I've heard from 3 weeks, up to 6 weeks. wallyworld Yes, well hello there, We are on Atlantis in Enterprise release.. building with Clarendon. Re: [NSW] Gregory Hills - Roll Call! 695Mar 27, 2013 7:44 pm New to forum, was looking for information about a proposed Tavern at Gregory Hills not sure how true the information is? We have purchased a display home at Gregory Hills and are hoping to move in around the end of the year. I see there are a lot of issues with the fibre network and connections, hopefully it will be resolved by the time we move in Re: [NSW] Gregory Hills - Roll Call! 696Mar 27, 2013 8:17 pm Your builder just needs to prewire your home. on speed anyone notice massive speed differences through the day? My speed each night turns to rubbish. In the mornings I get full speed... Re: [NSW] Gregory Hills - Roll Call! 697Mar 27, 2013 10:14 pm Typical congestion period in the evenings. Happens to smaller ISPs which are fairly limited in terms of upstream bandwidth. Im with iiNet and i get full speed day or night due to the fact they have good engineering teams and a bit more money Building with Jandson Homes - Eclipse 18. http://adgnetworks.blogspot.com/ Re: [NSW] Gregory Hills - Roll Call! 698Mar 28, 2013 7:10 am Paulc1964au New to forum, was looking for information about a proposed Tavern at Gregory Hills not sure how true the information is? I see there are a lot of issues with the fibre network and connections, hopefully it will be resolved by the time we move in Hi Paul yes i have heard there was supposed to be a Tavern, and a Petrol Station as well on the corner. Red Rooster and Oportos have begun construction next door to McDonalds. Alot of the other sites are now starting to go up. There will be a Vet in 1 of the units, as for the others not sure it looks like companies are buying to build units on and then lease / rent out to tennants. The display homes will be retired towards the end of the year, and there is a new 30 lot display homes being built across the road from the current sales and display centre to commence soon. Re: [NSW] Gregory Hills - Roll Call! 699Mar 28, 2013 12:25 pm Thanks yes we bought one of the display homes in Healy avenue and as soon the is closes we will be moving in. So assuming a Tavern is going to be built it will be in the commercial area near Camden Valley Way which won't be a problem. On another note the child care centre is currently going through council so I assume construction will start soon Re: [NSW] Gregory Hills - Roll Call! 700Mar 29, 2013 8:41 am From what i am reading here Telstra cannot supply for the NBN? You can however use Telstra as a provider? https://onlineshop.telstra.com.au/bundles/NBN Even if it's not being sub-divided and you want to keep it as Torrens title, you will still need to talk to a town planner or Council themselves, to see if they will allow… 1 11160 Thanks again Simeon for being so elaborate. Appreciate it. Its gives us a very idea. Kind Regards 4 3815 In NSW the maximum deposit for building work is 5% until the builder provides HBCF insurance 1 4897 |
