Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Oct 27, 2010 1:19 pm Hi, could someone please give me an idea of the approx. cost of a block of land in house/land packages in WA. I know that it will depend on the type of house you are building and the fitout, but I just need a general idea for a new home / land package - 4 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, 1 ensuite, lounge/family, dining, kitchen. Leave alfresco out for the moment. Garage for 1 car. Many thanks for your help. Caromac Carolyn Re: Cost of House land packages in WA 2Oct 27, 2010 2:29 pm hi - I know you get them starting at aroun $380k with land. I think most people can pay up to $500k though, no un heard of. Considering the median house price is getting closer to $600k it's still a good buy for the space. Just depends if you can find an estate which shows growth as well as being somewhere you want to live. South of the river is a tad more under developed which means there is more land for estates. Some of the land north of joondalup is near the most stunning beaches, wish i knew people who lived there! Also around baldivis, bertram is a growth area because of the beaches and mandurah being so close for work. Satterly has a website where you can mix and match house packages, to give you more of an idea. Thanks for your input - Regards, Carolyn If they do a house and land package, make sure they keep the 2 components individual or they will end up paying stamp duty on the package price instead of just the land price. Also if they are first homebuyers, they get a stamp duty concession for a house under $500k if they buy established or $300k for vacant land. 13 6602 there is a few calculators you can use if you just google it 7 7477 Yeah I don't know why I came to a forum.
