Morning All,
Located in Melbourne and I am looking for Water Pump. Need to push up to a second storey and connected 3 outside taps...
Can anyone recommend place to buy from? and or a good pump brand / size?
Cheers

Typically when you are to select a pump you need a flow rate (usually measure in L/s) and a pressure(in meters of head). The pressure has three components: (1) Static Pressure (2) Dynamic Pressure (3) Head Loss. For those application you usually eliminate (2) and (3) as it is negligeble since you are not likely to run at high speed like more than 1-2 m/s along the pipe. So, the static pressure is mainly your concern (which is the difference in height between the two levels). It is usually better if you add like a 10-20% buffer on top so that you have room to play with). So I suggest where you are going to buy the pump it would be good if you know how high above the ground the second storey is. 18 90477 |
