Hi,
I've got BIR in all the bedrooms, but they are bricked down to 24 course and the ceiling inside is at 28 course, so there is a bit of space to store things on the top shelf. For the shelving I was thinking of having half shelved and half for hanging space.
In the hanging space I was thinking of making the shelf above the hanger to be able to drop down to make it easier to access the top space, but I want to be able to drop it down while there are still cloths hung up.
My idea for this is to have the shelf and hanger on railing so that it can smoothly lift up and down then have a winder in place to raise or lower the shelf. It has to hold a reasonable amount of weight (20-30kg) so that is why i was thinking the winder to raise and lower.
My question is, is there anything like this that exists as a kit or do I need to come up with something myself. If not for the railing I was thinking of possibly using draw railing with rollers or similar and then use a window winder for raising and lowering. below is a basic drawing of what I'm wanting to do.
