Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Nov 20, 2007 3:16 pm I saw an advert on the TV a few weeks back where a young couple had obviously just moved into their newly built house and were having a house warming party with many friends.
People were talking to the wife telling how great the house looks and asking about certain features. The wife was gushing about how invaluable ‘Jan’ was in the planning and building of the house, and how some interesting features where Jans idea, etc. Jan was then shown talking with his friends and being congratulated on the house. The implication of course was that Jan was the husband. Tthe ‘real’ husband then suddenly proposes a toast to Jan as the best builder in the world and it becomes clear that Jan is the builder! What was the name of the construction company who made this advert? Re: Can you name that housing advert? 5Nov 21, 2007 2:14 am My son Spencer is now 10. Back when he was 4 and in kindergarten, I went to pick him up one day. When I arrived, the teacher eagerly told me of a funny incident that happened that day, that had all the staff highly amused...
There's a little girl named Jasmine in the group. While they were playing, Jasmine apparently did something that annoyed Spencer. He walked up to her with hands on hips, and sternly declared (with all the intonation and phrasing of the YP ad) "NOT HAPPY, JA...SMINE"!!! Ash. Re: Can you name that housing advert? 6Nov 21, 2007 12:48 pm I have obviously completley missed the point in that ad! Always thought it was a bit corny - but didn't realise that whose Jan was. I might have to pay more attention to it next time, never really made sense to me. Re: Can you name that housing advert? 9Nov 22, 2007 8:00 am clath,
