Imagine me going over to the neighbours house with a bill for a paint job or security door........ When the old boy approached the person we thought responsible we got the " ok no worrys i'll keep them away" 2 days later they where back again. So we got the council cat trap, and would you believe we got 4 cats in 1 night ( not at once). In total i think he caught 10 cats in the space of about 2 months. And the funny thing was, was that we didnt get 1 single person knocking on doors wondering if they seen there cat. I hope citronella works for the cat owners sake but how long does it last ? will you have to re apply everytime it rains ? The citronella needs to be reapplied after a while as it loses its effect, depending on what form you have used (crystals or liquid), the label on the packaging should give you an idea on reapplication rates and times. Yes its funny the amount of cats that are around and no-one seems to own them, we bought our house and it came with a free cat. It took up residence under the carport much to the disguist of our two Great Danes but its gone walkabout lately. Re: dealing with neighbours cat poo in our yard 3 + moggies 43Feb 27, 2011 11:43 am This has been very interesting reading as my front yard is being used as a littler box by all the cats in the neighbourhood. I have taken a total disliking to cats now and an even more so one to owners who let their cats just roam without taking responsibilty for the cats actions and allowing them to deficate where they want. I will try and do what has been suggested including taking to the pound. Re: dealing with neighbours cat poo in our yard 3 + moggies 44Mar 01, 2011 9:01 am Regarding cats burying their poo, that's what they prefer to do, but if they can't dig deep enough they'll just leave it on top and make a token effort at burying. We ended up buying some cat repellent for about $20, and spread it throughout the mulch. Since then we've only had one cat dig, but he didn't leave any presents. Presumably the cat repellent worked.
