Lucky you. I've also been requested to request a drainage easement by the local council. This is because I have "negative cross fall in the footpath". However, if the stormwater drainage pipe is angled at about 45 degrees to the kerb then it becomes a positive cross fall, but I've yet to convince the council of this.
