Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Nov 19, 2007 8:36 am Hi Guys,
We have been in our house for three months now and as much as I love the house I feel like there is some bad karma on the block. Ever since we have moved in there has been a string of bad luck, I will list a few. Builder said approx $500 for Driveway - Concreter said $2000 Car broke down twice $3100 Dog needed dental sergery $1000 Husband got hit with a rock mowing and should have got stitches as blood pouring out everywhere!!! And just on Saturday my husbank had to do a favour for my mum and took her car and when brought it back parked it at top of driveway and forgot to put back into park. Car then proceeded to roll down the driveway and into my front window. I somehow need to get the house de-somethinged or I'm worried what might happen next. Also the block was sold because the previous ppl lost their job and could not afford to build so I worry this could affect the karma of the block. Maybe sounding crazy but something has happened every week I have lived here. Re: New home - Bad Karma 2Nov 19, 2007 8:46 am I know a good medium down your way!!!!

Tam, I think there is such a thing as bad energy in a place, and yes there are lots of crack pot mediums out there who are scammers. (Hence Marks sceptisim) And as Al jokes - feng shui - Yes if done properly may assist or might highlight that it is an issue and might determine if you can or cannot fix it. Can you draw a map of the street and house location and post here or PM me and I'll tell you what I think as a very amatuer in this area but I have a sense for it. FYI The recent pics of my old house that I've posted actually has a few bones under the floorboards, (looks like a small leg bone) but I did not feel any bad energy from them so I left them there - I found out at a dinner party one night that they'd heard a baby was still born in the house at some time and they'd laid the bones under the house. I believe there is good and bad karma and if you ask the natives of oz, they will not live or goto certain areas areas because of it. My thoughts. Steve Re: New home - Bad Karma 8Nov 19, 2007 10:36 am Tam, i believe you. We had a house that we thought was bad luck ( we've since sold the house).
I won't go into details but i had my 98 year old grandmother perform a sort of evil-eye ceremony at my place and on me. (Sounds pshyco i know - but sometimes it works) She is the only one in my family who knows what to do. There are incences and things that you can burn in the house too if people are sick... We aways belived in getting a priest to bless a new house too. Also laying blessed religious medals into the corners of a newly laid house slab. OMG people are gonna think i'm nuts now. But my familys culture believes in things like evil eye and other bad luck. Re: New home - Bad Karma 9Nov 19, 2007 11:03 am Quote: OMG people are gonna think i'm nuts now. Re: New home - Bad Karma 14Nov 19, 2007 12:38 pm I agree with phoenix and yak-chat. According to the chinese numbers with 4 signify death and numbers with 8 bring good luck (are you any of these?) and according to Srilankans numbers that total to 9 or 7 are very lucky total of 5 is not as lucky and even numbers shd be avoided...
What house number are you Tam? Re: New home - Bad Karma 15Nov 19, 2007 12:49 pm Regardless of whow we take it, other ppl take it very seriously.
My example. 2 houses side by side. Identical floor plans, minor color changes,. Ours went for 320k, next door went for 290k. Differences? Ours was number 8 - very very very lucky. Theirs had a telephone pole out the front. Good agents know their market, including superstitions of different cultures. We had a bidding war between three chinese couples over our place. Thank you very much Feng and Confuscious Adrian B Re: New home - Bad Karma 16Nov 19, 2007 12:50 pm I am number 8. Which I was a number 8 in my last house and the house I grew up in. I always thought it was a lucky number and meant riches.
Now riches in my opinion is not monetary...though that can help. Rich in happiness, family life, health etc. Maybe I have something placed wrong, need to find the lucky corner or something. With the site cut of my house it is leaning down into my house and I need to build a retaining wall. You also need to walk down the drive to the path for the front door so maybe that makes it a difficult access. Just had a brainwave....the front door almost matches up with the back sliding door. I have read somewhere that money and luck will flow straight through if that is the case. Re: New home - Bad Karma 18Nov 19, 2007 1:13 pm I have a mixture of beliefs and don't think anyone's should be considered wrong.
The one thing I truly believe is that our own psychology plays a large part in things. If we believe it will work - often our belief is enough to show improvement. If you believe your house has bad karma - then it does. If you believe taking steps such as a medium or feng shui will fix it - then you should take those steps. You should take whatever steps you feel will make you feel better about your house. PS if your husband didn't check for stones before mowing and didnt put the park brake on - maybe he should check his karma. Just build it the way I want and everything will be okay.
