Re: THERES MORE RUBBISH ON MY BLOCK 2Sep 26, 2010 2:21 pm No. They will tell you to erect temporary fencing. Re: THERES MORE RUBBISH ON MY BLOCK 3Sep 26, 2010 2:30 pm i understand that but what ticks me off is people just dont care about others i would never do that even if my builder was to do it id tell him to remove it i just dont want my builder to charge me Re: THERES MORE RUBBISH ON MY BLOCK 4Sep 26, 2010 3:18 pm It's not uncommon unfortunately. This thread has more information about what You can do. viewtopic.php?f=31&t=30509 You will need the block clear before the builder starts generally, we had these issues also. Re: THERES MORE RUBBISH ON MY BLOCK 5Sep 26, 2010 6:52 pm I feel your pain. I had the neighbour "clean" his block when he purchased the dump next door. I had chicken wire fence, metal swing set ( all broken off course ), bricks and bascially all the crap that was in the neighbourhood on my block. I was actually told by the agents/ builders that it was a health hazzard as snakes are common in WA where the block is. Its a common situation where the people dont care. 1 thing I did was get a sign made up ( metal and printed sticker ) put on the site, saying something just like the council signs about dumping rubbish the being sued. It didnt stop all of the items, but the big stuff never came back. PS I personally moved the neighbours stuff back onto his block!! Re: THERES MORE RUBBISH ON MY BLOCK 6Sep 27, 2010 5:15 pm So i went to my block today and saw my rear neighbour started talking about the rubbish on my block and has told me that my next door neighbour is the person who has been throwing crap on it. Lucky the builders info is displayed so i called them today but they werent avaliable so tommorow they will be recieving a phone call, my neighbour told me to say that he has seen them doing it so thats good will see what he has to say when i speak to them tommorow does anyone think they will clean it? I have a friend whos a lawyer so worst come to worse i might get her to write up a letter Re: THERES MORE RUBBISH ON MY BLOCK 7Sep 27, 2010 5:43 pm Justice at last ! I had the same issue with people dumping things on my vacant block of land. S & M : You are lucky to have neighbours such as this. Suburbia is where the developer bulldozes out the trees, then names the streets after them. Re: THERES MORE RUBBISH ON MY BLOCK 8Oct 07, 2010 1:56 pm Well after speaking to the builder last wednesday and he told me he would get rid of the rubbish on my block, i happend to go past last nite to see, and guess what the crap was still there. So this morning i rang up the builder and told him that he will recieve the bill from the council that he could pay.He said no no no il get it sorted out straight away i dont like dealing with the council haha. 2 hours later he rang me to tell me he had cleaned my block AMAZING these builders arent they well at least now its all clean and no one else can throw rubbish there Re: THERES MORE RUBBISH ON MY BLOCK 9Oct 07, 2010 4:20 pm Sounds like you will have a great new neighbour, if they are looking out for you even before you build. Cheers http://take2-customdesigndownslope.blogspot.com 07-10-09 omg they have cut the block 14-05-10 we finally have the keys Re: THERES MORE RUBBISH ON MY BLOCK 10Oct 09, 2010 9:55 am I just had to add my 2c on this topic as I had similar experiences. Pretty much as soon as I purchased a block of land rubbish started appearing on it. I wasn't too bothered about little things but the day I turned up and someone had dumped a few cubic meters of soil after a site scrape (see my blog for details) I almost lost it. In the end I spent several visits cleaning up the rubbish before I caved in and paid someone to remove the rest (time was running out before my site start). You can imagine how happy I was after doing all of that, to see that someone decided I needed their old bbq! I just think it is so inconsiderate and rude for people to dump anything. I'm a strong believer in an eye for an eye, I just wonder how many builders would like it if I came and dumped my rubbish at their home! Hang in there and believe me, its a relief as soon as you see your builders start...as its then not your problem any more! Re: THERES MORE RUBBISH ON MY BLOCK 11Oct 11, 2010 12:42 pm We were very lucky that we had some great neighbours who would actually drive people off if they attempted to throw stuff on our block - ex military people - great ! Good neighbours are worth their weight in gold mate ! Suburbia is where the developer bulldozes out the trees, then names the streets after them. Re: THERES MORE RUBBISH ON MY BLOCK 12Oct 12, 2010 10:47 am Yes, people out there can be inconsiderate, but at the same time, your providing a path of least resistance if you don't put up a front fence of some sort. Ask yourself, do I hire and pay someone to remove my rubbish or dump it on the vacant lot next door where there is no fence? A guy in Brimbank Gardens was served some justice (in my mind). He was a QLD land banker (investor) who didn't want to pay a cent for any of the 5 adjoining allotments half share of the fence. So he opened himself up to a lot of pain. 6 11127 Yes it had a house on it. But Melbourne water only wanted something the original size of the existing house. We managed to fit a 45sq house on. 10 33654 4 4430 |
