Some things you can do: - Tiling - Paving - Landscaping - Lay carpet - Painting - Fitting blinds (purchase through Ikea etc if standard window sizes) - Timber decking outside Only thing i'll say is, the people who do these things are trades. This is something they do for a living where as most DIY people have their first crack at decking, and chances are never will again. The question to ask is that can you live with it if you're not happy with it. As someone who see's a lot of trades, and see's a lot of homes get built, and having personally renovated myself, i think the best bet is to do the research on what things cost, set up a budget and priority hit list then execute it. If you see trades out on site who can help, a lot of them will do a bit of work at a good rate as it helps them keep going between jobs. The DIY project can be broken into two major steps.
