Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Sep 09, 2010 11:59 am Hi, I'm looking at getting some colorbond fencing put up, I've had a couple of quotes but they seem expensive to me, the fencing will be raked, 1.8m high and I've been quoted between $90 and $95 a metre, does this seem accurate? Re: colorbond fencing pricing Melbourne 2Sep 09, 2010 1:27 pm I received a similar price for colourbond, $90 a metre, which I thought was high too, so I too would be interested in seeing what others have recently paid, as 12 months ago I was quoted around $70 per metre. I suggest that it is a good thing to have as it will protect your colourbond fence in the long run and neater as well. Re: colorbond fencing pricing Melbourne 4Sep 09, 2010 4:36 pm We recently had our fencing done by company in the Melbourne West. We did the back and the two sides. Total cost was under $2000.00 which was the half the cost due to the neighbours. Supply and erected colourbond fence 1.8mt standard was $29.00/m each ($58/m) So I thought $58.00/m is cheap. So they going to put a single gate 1.8mt standard powder coated, key lockable lock latch for $495.00 Let me know if you want their details. Re: colorbond fencing pricing Melbourne 5Sep 09, 2010 6:05 pm i recently did my own fence ( put it up ) 1.8 m high the fence comes in panels each panel is 2.35 m wide i shopped around and got it for $103 a panel. eg, so if your fence is 20 metres long, its 20 divided by 2.35 = 8.5 panels 8.5 by $103 = $875 just in the materials. And then you have the posts, concrete, hiring a dingo or equivelant for the holes. You'd probably need to get the panels for half that before its worth while by the sounds of it. I got the same price as Turri in Melbourne West so likely the same outfit did the job. The pine sleepers for under the fence are ~$15 a meter. Re: colorbond fencing pricing Melbourne 7Sep 09, 2010 6:28 pm posts and rails are included in the $103 ,mix the concrete yourself. its not hard.. i assure you its cheaper to do it youself than to get some mob that will probly do a rough job. if you want things done right its always better to do it yourself... surely you know someone that has a mixer.. and its not hard to dig holes by hand...... Yeah must be the same company, Good result and very professional - PlanetFences Pty Ltd Re: colorbond fencing pricing Melbourne 9Sep 10, 2010 9:09 am I recently put up my own colourbond fence, 20mtr long, 20cm sleepers underneath plus concrete delivered for $1,300. That's about $65 a mtr. The fencing fella was quoting $2,000 but it sounded way too steep and I found it was faster to get the material in and do it myself. Part of the quote was $330 for the sleepers although to buy them only cost $120. Although I have heard of whole fences done for $60 p/m (minus the sleepers). Or use the quick set where you just pour the dry mix into a hole with water in it. As for digging it can be a bugger if your in a dry place, however the hire of a hole digger is bugger all, especially if you get a mechanical one rather than a machine driven one. Yes please what are there details Your house roof does not show rusting other than some surface rust on the flashings. In my opinion you dont need to replace or paint the roof other than treat surface rust… 1 10229 Hi all, Our boundary perimeter fences need replacing (3 sides). From everyone's experience, what would you install? Timber lapped and capped OR colorbond? Thank you. 0 2893 You should pressure clean your roof first and make sure the paint you buy also is anti mould. 4 18582 |
