Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Aug 19, 2010 11:09 pm Which brick colour do you prefer??? The roof will be colourbond woodland gray with same for gutters, roller door and windows. Fascia/Downpipe are still deciding on the colour There are pics of two different houses in both bricks, in a couple of the oatmeal ones the bricks are wet. Re: Which bricks colour??? 5Aug 20, 2010 10:38 am The oatmeal looks the nicest for me. We have the gutter and fascia matching our roof whilst our downpipes and meter box are all a close match to the brick - so they don't stand out. Some things are worth waiting for. Re: Which bricks colour??? 6Aug 20, 2010 10:44 am I prefer the colour of the second one, but it has no pop on a big scale, it would need feature render or somethig to make it work. For full face brick, I vote the first one. We have our downpipes matching our fascia and guttering, Colourbond Evening Haze. I personally the downpipes to match the colourbond, it is really hard to match it to bricks and some of the time it doesn't look quite right when painted to match them. I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Terrence Malick Re: Which bricks colour??? 9Aug 22, 2010 5:39 pm I Really LOVE the off white, Makes it look so much cleaner and nicer looking. As for the downpipes, I think it doesn't really matter, I guess it would blend in more if the downpipes were the same colour but I like both ways Re: Which bricks colour??? 10Aug 22, 2010 6:00 pm mmmmm I think I prefer the off white but agree with joles that you would need a contrast render or something to help them stand out. We have a very similar colour (Austral Urban Nougat - crap quality bricks, but same colour) and I am not liking our facade at all anymore so will be rendering it with a darker colour for contrast. Caz & Co ALL MOVED IN!! Now comes all the hard work-decorating.... Ours are smooth face architectual bricks though. We have gone with jasper roof, gutters and facia, classic cream downpipes and we have used jasper render as part of our feature. Re: Which bricks colour??? 12Aug 23, 2010 12:24 am I think I'm in the off white camp too but both are nice. I love grey colorbond, we have our gutters matching the downpipes. I second that trying to match the brick colour can often not come out right. Re: Which bricks colour??? 13Aug 23, 2010 9:03 pm I like the off white a little more, the oatmeal is nice too. However, would choose the oatmeal as can imagine the off white getting dirty easily and will look almost like dirty concrete or industrial style buildings. Black on light wood does look good. Not sure if it will be as long lasting as a steel finish? 6 6349 brokers will also be in a position to get you a better rate than the advertised rate most times. 6 7566 Thank you. Do I use timber floorboards for stairs or do people use timber treads? Or is both the same? 6 7272 |
