Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Aug 12, 2010 8:10 pm Hi All, I was just after some advice about our new house currently our plans have been approved by council all documentation has been submitted and cleared and now there off to scheduling now for the story due to the fact work has slowed down and a possible demotion we were considering pulling out of the building contract I have contacted the builder and asked what the costs will be to do so and they have told me to read the Home Buildings Contract Act and say that the matter will end up in Court or Building Disputes Tribunal they didnt go into that much detail I was wondering what my options are. Cheers Jas Re: Building a new house 2Aug 13, 2010 6:01 pm And did you read the Act? The way Builders rush to charge you plenty, I think you may have a very expensive cancellation on your hands.
