Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Aug 10, 2010 4:10 pm Hi guys, just need some advise from people who are renovating. We had all our house renovated recently, except for one room, because at the time that room looked much better then the rest of the house, so thought it is OK the way it it. Now having fresh beautiful house, we realise that that room looks sad after all The wall panels look awfull, the timber ceiling and carpet floor are still OK. So we asked the same builder who did our house for a quote to do the following: - remove wall pannels and fiber panels behind them - rewire and install 4 powerpoints - gyprock the walls - remove all architraves and skirting boards and install new ones - install picture rails (we supply the rails) - paint the walls For all that he quotes $10000. The rooms is small only about 16 sq.m Sounds a bit steep to me Or do you think is is reasonable price? Also may be somebody could recommend us another builder for a quote? We are at Sydney South (Oatley to be precise). Just I think that most builders are not going to be interested in such a small job, and I have no idea which individual tradies to contact for it. No. It's not original. Circa early to mid 90s would be my guess and maybe even as late as early 2000s 1 6626 Seems good to me. I've been told $4-5k/sqm is reasonable in Perth. 2 11145 hey there! π so, itβs kinda common for standard drawer depths to be around 500mm since most cabinets use this size to fit the usual runners… 3 20890 |
