Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Aug 08, 2010 8:37 pm Hi there, we are currently building. When we did prestart we decided to leave doors off the theatre room as we could not afford to add them. We have now decided that we need doors on the theatre. So we have a 1.8m gap in the wall with no door frame and the gap is all the way to the roof. I went to a door shop and they quoted me $3000 to put doors there which seems crazy. Has anyone added doors before? Or have any advice on a cheaper alternative. Re: Adding Doors 2Aug 09, 2010 9:56 am It shouldn't cost that much. Depending on what doors you go for and how you want the gap above the doors filled in. Try ringing a local carpenter. It's hard to say without seeing it and dependant on what you decide regarding the questions above but I would most likely quote under $2000 for what you have described and if it is straight forward it would most likely be about $1600.
