Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Aug 06, 2010 3:31 pm I am hoping someone can recommend a good contact to get a brick front fence done. I am in Epping VIC. Having a bit of trouble finging someone. I know someone at Austral bricks so I can get the bricks cheap no worries, but just needing someone to actually build the fence. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!! May I ask how much you were quoted? I really have no idea what to expect for a brick fence!! Mine is for a 16mtr frontage, but about 11 mtr only will be fenced. The quote came in at $13,632 (and I almost died!). The quote does not include Council dispensation fees (which we need), asset protection, bricks (i have them anyway), steel infill panels (they quoted an extra $1210), moving of water metre (which we will need and cost us an extra $250 roughly). So basically with everything else not included, it comes to about $15.5K...I was expecting less than $10K! I have seen their work and it looks absolutely fantastic...but we just can't afford it ontop of everything else we need to do! Oh, and their customer service was very good in the small amount of time we dealt with them. I'm still waiting to hear back from Amazing Homes. Cost will depend on what exactly you want, how high (how many bricks they have to lay!), whether you want infils, capping, have to get council permits etc. Henley - Wilshire Mk 3 ...
