Hi Guys, wondering if anyone building/has built in Wanneroo can help out.
Just got the council rate bill.. Its been split into 2 categories.. vacant land and GRV Rate Residential Vacant.
Im questioning whether I should be paying the Residential (vacant) part? Technically, we do not have a property available for rent. Slab has only gone down last week and it will take a while to build.
Any input would be much appreciated
Land Settled: 29 March 2010
Pre contract & Deposit paid - 17 May 2010
Pre Start & Contracts Signed - 16 June 2010
Council Approval Received - 30 June 2010
Slab Down 30 July 2010
Plate High - Late August
Lock Up - TBA

Hey, we're building in hocking, and got the exact same thing on or bill.. I assumed we had to pay the total amount but now i'm questioning it! best bet would be to call the council

We are building in Wanneroo too and my rates are the same. I hadn't given it a second thought I was just going to pay it but our house is only about 4 weeks off completion anyway. I might give the council a call anyway.
