We would like to have pay TV in our new place (if we can get it?). We had Optus digital in the last place and I understand Foxtel is about the same thesdays. But does anyone have any suggestions as to any other options available? especially with HD coming soon to free to air tv?

Doesn't Optus and Foxtel have some sort of pay TV sharing arrangment anyway? Therefore a lot of the programs are available on both.
If this is the case it probably doesn't matter which one you go for.. get the cheapest.

I don’t know about the TV.
However, I was comparing the cost of broadband, home phone and mobile. Optus was much cheaper than Telstra. When I tried to price match with Teltra they said that they are ‘premium’ service providers!
I currently have optus cable and I never experienced that speed anywhere else.
I would go with optus so that I can bundle their services together.

We were trying to find out what sort of broadband we can expect at our new place in Mernda when we move in (about a year away, but it pays to find these things out early). Turns out the only thing Telstra has put the infrastructure in for is ADSL.
No cable or ADSL2 for us...
Everything I know, I learned from SBS.
