Browse Forums General Discussion Re: Buying a big bed for my little girl. which one? 21Jul 29, 2010 6:54 am I liked the idea of the bed with the drawers and trundle before we bought our girls' beds. Then we saw it and decided the actual bed was too high and would look quite imposing in a small room. We went for a bed with drawers under and bought a separate trundle which we keep under the spare bed in a different room. Re: Buying a big bed for my little girl. which one? 22Jul 29, 2010 7:47 am Ok, so I just checked my receipts - given it was over a year ago now so they are probably much cheaper. The king single bed was $415 and the king single trundle with drawers was $390. I can't find if it is Australian made - but I love the look of it and it is also very sturdy. I'll try and take a picture of it today with the trundle etc so you can see My karma ran over your dogma Re: Buying a big bed for my little girl. which one? 23Jul 29, 2010 9:23 am oh thank you for going to the trouble of looking at your receipts bel! and you know I'd love to see a pic I've probably already seen the bed at your place but wasn't "looking for it" then! going to check the bunkers website soon... Re: Buying a big bed for my little girl. which one? 24Jul 30, 2010 2:29 pm Hey Donuts, I realise the dicision is virtually made but I just thought I would add....... If you want to clap eyes on the quality of the ebay bed in real life, they sell them at Super Amart shops. (I was pretty sure I had seen it before and just had a quick search online) It's called the Casper Devan and it's $499 in Qld. Ikea also sell a simmilar looking day bed, not quite as tall and with just the draws no trundle bed. I think it's called the Hemns? Good luck Re: Buying a big bed for my little girl. which one? 25Jul 30, 2010 2:42 pm http://www.sasfurniture.com.au/gallery2.html We got the Brodie in this range (Australian made) as well as tall boy and side table. We found it at a Pine Furniture store in northern suburbs (Vic) and it was exactly the same as what sells at CaptSnooze (I went and looked and it was the same supplier). Also comes with a trundle which we will get later. (Just looking for the receipt for prices) Re: Buying a big bed for my little girl. which one? 26Jul 30, 2010 5:32 pm thanks guys the decision is more or less made but we haven't ordered yet.
