If I apologize in advance, you're less likely to have a go at me In regards to the retaining wall, I think I've found one or two builders that are trustworthy, and according to them I can stick to half a block as backing and half a block as footing. Now I just need to find someone who's willing to cut full blocks in half blocks to save some bucks (the price difference between full and half blocks is almost nonexistent). Anyway, I'll let you know what happens so if someone is in the same situation and reads this post, there will be an answer (although, just don't pick Homebuyers Centre to build your house and you won't have any nasty surprise).
