Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Jul 11, 2010 4:51 pm I should have went out and looked for the nails I needed for the job and then got the nail gun to match. Nope, dingdong heads to Bunnings with a wadd of cash to purchase his first NAIL GUN!!! Feeling confident that the Bunnings **** was giving me the right advice I purchased a Trade Air lightweight gun for my decking job. It takes coil nails so off I went down to the trade desk to pick me up a box. On getting it home I noticed the nails were zero degree (straight up and down) but my gun was 15 degree (angled shute) - so the nails didnt fit and they were coiled in the wrong direction for the feed. Back to Bunnings to be treated by more **** talk at the end of which we discovered they do not sell nails for the gun I purchased? They will ring the suppliers and get back to me tomorrow to tell me if nails that are 15 degree, galv, full heads can be gotten (and they need to be the right way round for the feeder), but I am not confident another **** wont phone me. So it seems what I should have done is brought the nails I wanted and then looked for a gun instead of the normal way of buying a gun and then picking up some nails. Any advice would be appreciated with a few basic questions; does Trade Air exist as I cannot find it on Google and if I ever do find nails for it will an angle help with my decking I have to do with it? Why on earth sell nail guns but not the nails for them? You should go and get a credit. Go to a Trade store that deals in what the professionals use and be guided by their advice.
