We are just about to start building and we are starting to think about fencing. We want to have a 6ft wooden fence around our house
The house behind us has been built for a while and there is already a 6ft wooden fence. The land on one side of our land is being built by our builder and we have found out that they have included a 6ft wooden fence in their contract and we are happy to contribute to the cost of this fence.
We have found out that the people on the other side of us are wanting to put up a colourbond fence. We absoluetly despise colourbond fences and do not want one under any circumstances. It is not a money issue, we just don't like them. We are yet to speak to our neighbours but before we do we want to know what are our rights in terms of this in regards to havign a fence that we really don't want and what we are required to contribute.
Neither of properties on either side have started to build yet. We are all at council stage at the moment.
We are in Queensland, in the Moreton Bay Regional Council area.
Any advice would be really appreciate
