What was the state of your new house when you took handover??
We had handover on friday arvo and it looks like none of the kitchen/bathroom and laundry cupboards were cleaned. The wine rack above the fridge was not cleaned, I rubbed my finger in one of the slots and it came up white! and a lot of the windows and window/door tracks look like they haven't been cleaned.
I understand that the dust may be settling but I would have expected better. Have you ever had to get professionals in after a builders final clean?
Did your builders use professional cleaners? mine used to be have had to cut back on costs so the wife went in and did it. I sent the builder an email today stating what still needs to be cleaned. I have capal tunnel in both hands and so for me to do it is impossible, I would need to get someone in.
As far as I can see the wife has: wiped down benchs and swept and moped floors.

We've not built a new home for ourselves yet but we rented a brand new one a couple of years ago and the entire house was covered in white dust, the dark grey carpets were disgusting, sticky white powder... even worse was the realestate made us get a professional clean on them when we left 1.5yrs later!!!
If my building company leaves a house in that condition I'll be very noisy With 3 kids it's hard enough to keep up never alone play catchup.
