We keep things running on time….if possible, and make sure everything is what the client expects while the building is in progress. We kick arse…..so to speak….. I am a project manager (with post grad PM quals) and therefore will be managing the project myself from go to wo....so I wouldn't think of hiring anyone else... Perhaps if people had absolutely no spare time at all (and lots of extra $$) they may consider hiring someone to manage things for them, but I think its just such a personal and emotional thing (building a house that is) that most people would prefer to be hands on themselves...maybe for an investment property or if they were building interstate they would think about it?? I know a lot of people are fine with handling things themselves, like you. But there also seem a lot in here that MAYBE could benefit with the help.
