I think I've just found white concertina pipe (ag pipe?) connecting one of my downpipes (no pic just yet) Another downpipe connection (PVC) is above ground level or at best, right at ground level (see pic), rather than buried. Ideally you should have a grate or sump under your downpipes that are then connected to your stormwater and soakwells. If they are directly connected and the soakwell fills up, the water will back up the downpipes and then overflow the back of your gutters and then possibly enter your house. Yours may be typical but not ideal.
