Re: Want a WIR?? 3Jun 12, 2010 2:35 pm Wow! Some of those robes look like expensive department stores!! Re: Want a WIR?? 4Jun 12, 2010 2:41 pm The problem with those is the actual size of the majority of them. I mean we have a massive house 55sqs and our WIR is 3.2 x 3 which is huge - but those rooms are all bigger. Blows my mind!! Seriously who needs that much room for clothes? Some things are worth waiting for. Re: Want a WIR?? 5Jun 12, 2010 2:50 pm kyton The problem with those is the actual size of the majority of them. I'd love a dressing room. *swoons* Re: Want a WIR?? 6Jun 12, 2010 2:58 pm Oh Kek!! I have just listed over 30 items of clothing on ebay this week - all maternity. For the last 5yrs I have pretty consistently been either pregnant or breastfeeding LOL. So they are all going!! I just spent $400 on clothes last month and still didn't get that many things - probably 10 things. Some things are worth waiting for. Re: Want a WIR?? 7Jun 12, 2010 3:48 pm This is a damning judgement of my compulsive shopping habits.... I threw out no less than 6 garbage bags full of clothing, shoes, handbags and miscellaneous stuff when we moved from our old house (Sep 2007). Most went to charity. Then when we were packing to move from our rented accommodation, I had to dispose of another 6 or 7 (Dec 2008). When we got settled in the new place and I was trying to organised things, I tossed another 4. Last year I put a total ban on clothing purchases, in an effort to be thrifty (my wardrobe still looked like it had exploded, so I figured I really mustn't need anything. ). I bought one cardigan, two hoodies, two tank tops and some socks and undies and replaced two pairs of shoes that were worn out. Close enough to zero for me. At the end of the year I sold a few things on eBay, and chucked two more bags full of clothes. I still struggle to fit things in. What I need more than space is to get the damn wardrobes properly fitted out. Or take over my husband's WIR. He doesn't need it, he's a man. Re: Want a WIR?? 8Jun 12, 2010 8:04 pm Oh see Kek - we are the opposite. DH buys sooooo many clothes it is not funny. Last year he spent $1000 in one hit and has bought more since then. He needs more space then I do!!! Some things are worth waiting for. Re: Want a WIR?? 9Jun 12, 2010 8:11 pm Kek I have a similar issue... I've taken 3 boot loads of clothes, bags, shoes to my nieces in the last few months, and my clothes etc still dont fit in my wardrobe! I have taken over our spare room which has portable racks in there filled with my stuff. I parted with 6 pairs of shoes... but then felt sad (I NEVER part with shoes)... so went out and bought another 3 pairs to fill that emptiness... Re: Want a WIR?? 10Jun 12, 2010 8:51 pm I know, but all the growse WIR's are full of white clothing... hmmm, not so great with my diverse colours! A thankful person is a happy person. Funny thing is I think I have more gym wear and socks than actual clothes itself!. I ended up filling another garbage bag of clothes after moving into the new house. Shelves in robe are empty bit I do have a few coats and jackets and trendy cardigans. Ha cardigans, brought one today. Shoes, well I threw a few pairs of thongs out. A pair of shoes that were named "hooker" shoes by the other half only because they had a bit of a chunky soul. They were never worn. Some still had tags on them. I still haven't thrown any of my old runners out. Especially my old Nikes. Oh dear. They are still soooo comfy to this day. Re: Want a WIR?? 12Jun 12, 2010 9:30 pm kek I'd love a dressing room. *swoons* Ooooohhhh me too. All the shelving and storage space. No need to move things out of the way to find things - they would be right in front of me - all neat and organised.
