Browse Forums General Discussion 1 May 31, 2010 12:47 pm Im not sure where to post this is it flooring? Outdoor? maintenence? So ill put it in general... This is my first post My partner and I rent a little house off his parents. Just out the back door there is concrete and its old and rough.. Over time the rocks break away from the concrete and its looking pretty messy and would like this area to feel less like an old shed. We built a low deck( false floor) not sure what you would call it about 3 metres by 4 metres just outside the back door as the concrete was very bad and when it rained it would flow in towards the house and pool there. The deck looks pretty good but that little patch alone cost us about $1000 and to extend the decking to the whole area would cost more than we want to invest in the place. It was also hard work! So my question is are there any other options for giving crappy concrete a face lift? I dont think we can pour more concrete over it as there is only about 2 inches where the weather boards start on the outside of the house. Theres no massive cracks or anything but it looks like theres seams where to slabs meet. Does that spray concrete need to go onto nice flat existing concrete? Can you patch the rough areas with concrete and paint/polish it all. Or outdoor tiles would they stick? Any advice would be helpful.. I cant find much by googling.. Thank you so much if read this!
