Browse Forums General Discussion Re: Rae's apartment reno pics 30Jun 17, 2010 12:28 pm Just dropping back to say my computer has been in the shop for a bit and I haven't had access to any pics..... it's back now so I will try to get a close up of the tiles posted tonight. Sorry for the delay, Nathan. We haven't had anything really pic-worthy happen in the last week or so... just had people in to measure for cupboards and windows. Oh, but the aircons went in last week, yay! I am still waiting for final drawings for the kitchen - hopefully they will be ready soon. The sub-board in the unit has to be changed and the electrician is half-way through doing that so there is no power there at the moment. We installed the framing to cover the aircon pipes, and that will be finished when a plasterer comes it at the end to do a few jobs, such as the cornices etc in the kitchen. I've also ordered replacement flyscreen for the windows that don't have security screens already - they were looking a bit tatty at best, completely ripped at worst. We were going to just rescreen them ourselves but then we found a reasonable price for a full replacement (ie new frames as well) so we've gone that way. Oh, and the finishing touches were put on the bathroom - doorstop on the shower dooor, door put on laundry cupboard, and mirror properly sealed. Just have to get some grout sealer, now. Re: Rae's apartment reno pics 31Jun 17, 2010 2:35 pm Flying through! No worries about the pics, I can wait. Just don't forget me! lol Re: Rae's apartment reno pics 33Jun 20, 2010 3:23 pm It's got like a natural grain look? I like them! Good colour grouting too! Re: Rae's apartment reno pics 34Jun 20, 2010 3:47 pm Yes, it's basically a fake marble look. It's obviously not marble, but as a "look" I think it's not too bad. I am really happy with the grout colour, too. I actually don't even know what it is; I just told the tiler to match the grout to the tile as best possible, and that I didn't want too light a grout. Re: Rae's apartment reno pics 35Jun 30, 2010 9:43 am Bathroom and floors look fabulous Rae. Can't wait to see the kitchen. Where in NQ is the unit? Are you as far north as me? I seem to remember you are up on the Tablelands somewhere, right? I'm sure I'd recognise that red dirt anywhere... hehehe Yep, building in Tolga. That red dirt will be the bane of my existence with 4 boys on 20ac I think there will be mandatory hosing off before entering the house.
