Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Oct 10, 2007 3:37 pm We have an oldish tired looking property and thought that rendering the front would spruce it up a fair bit and make it look alot nice..
Does anyone have any recommendations for renderers in Adelaide, and any sort of indication as to what sort of pricing I should be looking at (ie - do they charge by the m2??) Here's the frontage that we want rendered - not sure how many m2... Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Rendering front of house 3Oct 10, 2007 3:40 pm What about Moroka?
I think it's a bit cheaper than cement render and won't crack as easily (because it's a flexible product) http://www.kellymoroka.com/default.htm Re: Rendering front of house 4Oct 10, 2007 3:47 pm What a PERFECT fixer-uper!!!!
I would be getting quotes from renderers….no one in here will be able to give you a close estimate. So move onto the serious business of getting your pricings. Then you will know what you are up for. Yeah it is nearly 40 years old but has so much potential inside and out.. I think rendering the front, and maybe respraying the roof tiles will make a dramatic change to the way it looks.. Re: Rendering front of house 6Oct 10, 2007 4:00 pm I was going to suggest the roof but I didn’t want to be pushy…….for once!!!

I think there is definitely potential to make it a standout property.. We have just recently had the carport struts replaced with powder coated steel, so it looks much better than in the photos.. The other thought we had was continuing the driveway into a full semi circle to allow drive through access (depending on the budget).. We just splurged on a new spa so will see what kind of quotes we get.. What colour render and roof tiles would you suggest?? (my wide thinks dark gray roof but I'm not convinced!!) Re: Rendering front of house 8Oct 10, 2007 4:55 pm If you want to do it yourself there is a rendering paint that goes straight on over the bricks you can get it at bunnings and other home hardware and paint places. It goes on in 2 coats and $10L will cost you about $100, i think from memory it covers abot 30m2 have used it before is very simple and easy,
