Browse Forums General Discussion 1 May 13, 2010 7:29 pm I have a concrete and tile swimming pool. I want to fill it up with Cleanfill and concrete over the top to create a terrace area. Do I need to jackhammer the floor of the pool, to allow drainage? Or can I just dump cleanfill, then cover with concrete? What't the best way, keeping in mind there might be rain between the time I add the fill, and when I concrete over the top. Thanks, Adrian Re: Getting rid of my pool... 2May 13, 2010 10:58 pm I'm not exactly sure, but I bet you could ask a concrete pool company for advice. I imagine that they would have some knowledge on what to do about it. When we had our fibreglass pool removed the guy with the crane jumped into the pool as soon as he arrived and then cracked a couple small holes in the deep end while he got everything ready. Any remaining water in the pool just drained away. Good luck with it. Use a product like Equisol's Vitalise to clean the deck then coat with a penetrating timber oil. It will look 10 years younger and add value to your home.
