Browse Forums General Discussion 1 May 09, 2010 5:49 pm Hi all, I'm looking to install a natural gas fireplace and also install ductal gas heating in an existing double story house. The house is concrete slab. The mains gas is at the front of house, and wishing to have a fireplace at the back. When a gasfitter comes to install new gas outlets: a) can he/she run a gas pipe externally along the wall into the roof ( as we don't want to knock down any bricks/plaster) and b) when wishing to extend a gas outlet for fireplace, can this run along the edge/boundary of the house, or does it have to dug/concealed under the ground?
