Browse Forums General Discussion 1 May 07, 2010 8:34 am We are about to get our new bathroom tiled. The area to be tiled is approximately 10m2 (just the floor and a half tile as the skirt). The tiles are pretty standard porcelain tiles 300 by 300. Would anyone know how long such a space would take to tile? Re: Tiling Question 3May 07, 2010 9:16 am We had all our wet areas done in less than 1 day, screed plus ceramic tiles (3 average wet rooms plus 2 smaller). So, one room should be very quick, even with porcelain. My signature is distracting people from my wise posts ... Re: Tiling Question 4May 07, 2010 9:33 am That is interesting. Our guy has been basically at it for 3 days now and has done half the fllor area and a bit around the hob ( i know I did not mention the hob in my original question but I did not want to confuse the matter and in reality he only did any of the hob yesterday). In two days he has basically laid the tiles over half the floor. No grouting or anything. Re: Tiling Question 5May 07, 2010 10:53 am And then they did the walls (not to the ceiling, just builder's standard height) in those rooms (incl. bath hob) in less than 1 day too ... Forgot to say that there were 2 of them but really only one seemed to know what was he doing and was very fast. My signature is distracting people from my wise posts ... So laying costs are 5000$… 0 7524 Hi, I'm clearing the tiles from our horrid 50 year old bathroom and preparing to lay new ones. Bugger of a job getting the old… 0 8084 4 14438 |
