If people get up early in your house and need to use the kitchen, if someone is sleeping in the guest bedroom, they may be disturbed. Our kitchen backs onto our ensuite, and even with the ensuite door closed and the bedroom door closed, I can hear the kettle, the microwave and the oven when they're on. Our ensuite backs on to our kitchen wall too - the wall in question has fridge, bench space, stove, kettle - never hear any of them from the bedroom side, nor bathroom usage from the kitchen side.
