Greenland? Really? Mine's ready and waiting for me at the store... we just dont have anywhere for it to be delivered to! They ordered it late Jan, it arrived about 2 weeks ago... so it took a while. It's the chilli red
Erin - What colour did you go for? I recently called Plush to get an update on delivery times, and they said another 6 weeks. I then proceeded to ask them whether the lounges are made in Greenland!!

I am another owner of a Plush sofa didn't know they were associated with Fantastic Furniture - has put me off! (I know, I'm a snob!).... We have had our 2 x 2 seaters (leather) for 4 years and they still look great - no sagging/warping/tears/wear etc. Very glad we went for leather as we now have a 2 year old who was a lovely random 'chucker' as a baby and now loves to wipe her grubby little vegemite coated hands on them throughout the day (they are our all day every day couches) - I have wiped them to DEATH with damp cloths and even baby wipes at times and have had no issues (I even accidentally spilled some nail polish on one and stupidly attempted to get it off with nail polish remover - luckily got the polish off and no damage!). We will probably upgrade when we get into our new house and use these for our upstairs TV room. Pricewise, i think they are reasonable in comparison to some others - They do have good sales. As for the stuck on cushions, i agree they can be a pain for cleaning. It would be great to be able to take them off but I make do by getting into all the gaps with my thin nozzle on the vac (a little tip - if you sit on it in a particular angle you can 'open' the gap up more and really get in! )
Will be looking at Frogs though when we are ready for furniture - sounds great!

No was kidding but with a 12-14 week delivery time frame, who knows they could be!
Wow. Chilli Red. I cannot wait to see that in your home. Mine is the white that they have on display at most stores.
The reason I am waiting so long is because they did not have an ottoman available with any of their Melbourne modulars so they recommended I have a new one made up so they use the same leather to make the two, as sometimes there could be a slight variance.

Thanks for all the input on this one!
We made a wise decision based on the information in here and went with Frog sofa's
We were fairly sold on the Plush helvetica 3 seaters x 2 but after 2 visits and a bit of research I have to say how impressed I am with this company.
I went to 2 different Plush stores and I get the feeling they are all run the same way. The manager is the only person in the store with product knowledge and everyone else is an order taker. Every question we asked was "oooh hang on I will just go ask" and this was in 2 seperate shops!!!!
When we went to frog's the guy knew his stuff, was helpful and yet still respected our need to 'look' (read: sit on everything in the shop) and the prices were just awesome.
On average aroun 1/3rd cheaper than plush on very similar sofa's.
For 2 Plush 3 seater sofas with a fabric ottoman their best today price was $5800 in the leather we wanted.
For 2 Frog 3 seater sofa's with a leather ottoman in contrasting colour the price was a stunning $3650!
These sofa's share the same dimensions (the frog is actually a little larger) and a very similar design with an ultro wide arm for our laptops.
Thanks for the advice and I will share the pics when I get the sofas in around 10 weeks!

I bought two leather couches from 'Plush' and after around eight years the leather is wrecked. All stretched and on one couch the seat is all worn and no longer smooth. I have used leather conditioner on them from time to time. They were advertised as being quality leather. Next time I'll be doing more research on leather quality and grading.

The general rule, is you get what you pay for. A lot of cheaper lounge furniture is cheap because under the fabric/leather is cheap and flimsy construction and second-hand recycled materials.
Nothing wrong with that but you need to consider how long you wish to keep your lounge? Are you a person who changes your furniture with the fashions or is it a keeper for 10 years+?

Plush furniture is made in China hence the 14 week wait...I asked them a few days ago.
We have bought a couch from King Furniture and extremerly unhappy with it...leather deteriorated within a few months Friend bought a couch from a specialised sofa place and leather started to fall apart after 1 week
Moral to the story...no matter where you buy your couch, how much you paid for it, sometimes they have no control over the quality of that particular leather batch and the process of how it was made.
Therefore, atm, I am going with plush furniture I think because we are the type of people that have the worst luck with couches so it really dosent matter as long as it is comfortable.
Silly post I know but I have given up on trying to get the perfect couch...dosent exist

Do not buy Freedom, Plush or Furniture Fantastic. 2 bad shopping experiences and $8500 later after having bought 1 suite from Freedom and 1 suite from Plush. Husband AFL player, springs and support went on both. We were told the last suite would be the end of his discomfort.. Never ever again. Found out same Company owned all places... Quality was no different except Plush was meant to be the more quality of the 2, we did our money.. Ended up with 2 recliners from another Company. He's happy.
