Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Apr 18, 2010 2:44 pm Hi! I have just joined, although pages from this forum have come up in google searches many times and I realise I should have jumped on the bandwagon months ago! There is some excellent advice & I'm hoping some colour experts will assist me in this - I'm going insane! We have just had our house rendered and my husband has built a new merbau front deck and steps (I wish I could post a photo but it is telling me the board attachment quota has been reached). We have decided on Dulux Colorbond "Stone" for the render colour. The dilemma is whether to also use this colour on the fascia (not sure if that is what it's called - I mean the "triangle" parts under the roof - made of ugly fibro) too? Or go with an off-white colour? Or even go a shade darker?? Unfortunately we haven't the $$ left to clad the fascia ship-lap style with timber, maybe one day... We already have 5 colours and I remember reading that there shouldn't be more than 3. We currently have: Render = Colorbond Stone (painting starts tomorrow) Roof = terracotta tiles Decking = Merbau hardwood Handrail & decking posts etc = Charcoal Window frames = aluminium We are getting a new front door - one of the modern glass panel ones. My gut is telling me we should paint the fascia (fibro triangles), eaves, front door, and timber door frames an off-white colour, such as Dulux Fair Bianca. Any takers on this one??? At 17m long you need it… 1 17736 Hi, Currently building, we are on a sloping block so we have from floor level to the roof in axon cladding.
