Have electrical appointment on Fri & want to ensure wiring is future proofed for additional DPPs and not have overloaded circuit issues. Thanks Re: Electrical Specs - How many power points? 2Apr 30, 2010 10:40 am g'day In a domestic situation, the amount of gpo's you can have on a circuit is unlimited ( as stated in as/nzs 3000 regulations )...BUT you wouldnt wire it like this. When i wire a house i like to divide the house into sections.. for convienence if there was a fault to happen. You wouldnt want the WHOLE house to turn off if there was a fault in an outside power point. say on a small two storey house.. UPSTAIRS circuit 1, DOWNSTAIRS divided in half with kitchen and living on one circuit and laundry garage etc on another. Obviously this greatly depends on a job to job basis, and who is wiring the house. There are alot of varibles that go into circuit design when wiring a house.. but i wont delve into it. but the answer to your question is, you wont have to worry about future proofing when adding power points in regards to circuits. UNLESS you are planning to run power intensive products ( ie welders etc... ) this is when seperate circuits are needed to run 15A supplies etc.. hope this helped Electrical - Automation - Smart wiring - New homes - Commercial - Data cabling] 1300 050 315 www.cenemelectrical.com.au www.facebook.com/cenemelectrical If you're referring to Eufy homebase, then just put a switch between a datapoint and put the homebase elsewhere near another device in your home unless you want teh… 9 13846 I would never build with Fowler homes.
