Hi Guys,
We are looking to renovate our QLDer at the moment. Currently the house is 6 years old, build-in on the top level and slabbed at the bottom level. We're looking to add another bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and rumpus room to the bottom level but I'm a little unsure as to where we start to get things rolling.
We've got ideas for the design of the reno so I'm assuming we need to get the designs drafted up by an architect. We were told the slab was ready to be built on but a relative has said the slab is only 70mm think not the required 100mm thick. So should we also be seeing a structural engineer or someone similar?
It's all so confusing at this stage so if anyone who has been in the same situation could let us know what steps we need to do and when it would be appreciated!
